Ranbir Kapoor & Shraddha Kapoor share the experience of working at Luv Ranjan’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar

At the trailer launch on January 23, Ranbir Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, and Anubhav Singh Basi shared their experiences working with Luv Ranjan in their upcoming romantic comedy Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar , which marks the first time they have been together and their Bollywood debut as stand-up comedians Anubhav Sing Bassi.

“After watching Pyaar Ka Punchnama I called Luv (Ranjan), to tell him that I wanted to collaborate with. Ranbir stated that Ranbir met Ranbir and they discussed their ideas.

The Brahmastra actor also disclosed that Luv Ranjan was supposed direct AjayDevgn, he for a movie, but it did not materialise.

“Then Luv came up with the idea for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The movie was filled with love, warmth and family feelings. It also had entertainment. He said that there are not many filmmakers who can create this kind of film.

Ranbir explained why he hadn’t made a romantic comedy since Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013). Ranbir said that while the idea of romcom has been rewritten in New York and Paris, it is still true to its essence. He said that Rahul Mody and Luv Mody are both excellent writers, and that’s why I loved the Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar screenplay.

Shraddha spoke out about her experience portraying Ranbir’s Jhoothi’ girlfriend. Rahul was her guide on the sets and Luv directed her. “Luv sir, Rahul sir, had a set idea about the characters — it’s new to me. I hope my character is as fun as the one in the trailer.

“Luv Sir used keep us on our toes, even on the sets. She said that Ranbir and Shraddha used to be so confused because no one could tell the difference between truth and lies.

Luv, on his part, said that Ranbir and Shraddha’s pairing would bring a lot to the romcom since the lead duo had never been paired before. “Old pairings can bring with them a lot baggage and expectations. You look for a new pairing when you are looking to create a romcom. It’s just luck that Ranbir & Shraddha are still together, but they have never been paired together before.
